We ended church in a place that I didn't recognize but quite oddly familiar. I asked my family what we were doing for lunch and my mom told me that we were going to the Keg (one that I hadn't been to), or something like it, to celebrate my dad's birthday. I vaguely recall asking if my aunt was coming too. So, j.w and I walked out separately and around the block (in an unfamiliar place) and by the time that we came back (we had taken a wrong turn somewhere and through some restaurant), I had called them to see what time the reservations was at and how late we were. Turns out, even though my mother had made a reservation for (5 or was it 8?) under our last name, when they got there, they didn't have a spot for them.
So, by the time we got to the Keg, I realized just how busy it was; the parking lot was full and it people were waiting for spots. I went inside and it turned out that my sister's friends (Jas, Jer, etc.) had thought my sister and I were joining them for lunch so when they came in (a table of 8), they recognized our last name on the reservations list and the hostess had seated them. My mother's reservation/confirmation matched to that table so she wasn't very happy about that. We eventually got a table near the exit and beside the busy corridor - but it was a table and everyone fit.

my sister and i were about to stay in a cheapo hotel. the service was terrible. a beagle followed us into the elevator, so we were temporarily stuck with it. at the reception desk, when we asked for a room, the lady said that we needed someone who was a least 23 years old to sign for it, and i huffed that i was 28 (a lie in reality). the old man behind the computer who had wrinkles and greying hair, and who looked 45 clapped and was impressed at how i managed to look so young, since apparently, he was the same age (28) too.
later on, i wanted to tag along with PT and his friends to go see some late night movies; I was actually awake at the time, but then I found out that the three that they were seeing wasn't really worth my time - titles like Facebook, Dr. Dolittle 3, and some third one. So, I decided to turn back and sleep instead.

found out that my 3rd and 5th aunt had decided to get a divorce. when i heard about it, i immediately thought about their children and the fragility of marriage. if they were getting divorced, after all these years, then why (should i even) marry?!
